Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor, producer and director. Her work has been recognized for her roles in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. The movie Piano has won several awards for her, among them an Oscar. The talented actress began her career in acting by performing on stage, through a variety of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. In her early years, Helen Keller was her favorite character in a 5th grade play. Mumps made her lose hearing in one of her ears, but this didn't stop the actress from pursuing her dream. When she was a teenager, she was a drama student in the college level and then moved from Pittsburgh to New York City from Pittsburgh in order to follow her dreams. Hunter made her Broadway debut following an unplanned meeting with Beth Henley, a playwright. Together, they wrote on Broadway Crimes of the Heart. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began to look for film roles. The role she was offered came as an actress supporting the main character in Swing Shift. In the three decades since she was a part of the film Holly Hunter has been involved in numerous series and television films. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and also the Women in Film Lucy Award.
